Nutritional Advice
Nutritional therapy is regarded as a complementary therapy.
Naturopathic nutritional advice will focus on both health and diet, with the emphasis on identifying the root cause and presenting symptoms.
The consultation will consist of a series of questions to highlight factors that may be cause of any presenting symptoms.
The main emphasis will be the following:
- Promotion of Health
- Identifying factors that may be the cause of presenting symptoms
- Education of self-care and changes needed to help achieve optimal health
- Supporting the whole person- assessing not just the physical conditions but others factors that may influence health and well-being
Food selection, preparation to encourage a healthy digestive system
Nutritional Advice–£60-60 minutes consultation with follow-up advice on a suitable treatment plan

The WHO established five basic principles:
- Achieve energy balance and healthy weight
- Limit energy intake from fat and shift from saturated fats to unsaturated and from trans fats
- Increase consumption of fruit, vegetables, legumes, nuts and wholegrains
- Limit sugars
- Limit salt (sodium) and ensure salt is iodised
